COVID is the acronym for “Co-occurring Disorders of Visual Impairment and Depression.” It’s a mental disorder that affects people with vision impairments, making it difficult to cope with their condition. The World Health Organization estimates that one in six people worldwide suffer from this disorder.
The most relaxing places in the world is a list of 20 cities that are most tranquil. These cities are perfect to soothe away COVID stress.
It seems that the COVID-19 pandemic’s various impacts, which we’re all dealing with on a daily basis, may be impacting us much more than we realize. The American Psychological Association published survey findings earlier this year that showed exactly how severe the effects of living in the midst of a long-term epidemic may be.
According to the study, a significant percentage of the adult population believes their mental health has deteriorated since the beginning of COVID-19, with Generation Z being the most likely to think so (46 percent). Gen Xers were the second most likely to feel this way, with 33%, followed by 31% of Millennials, 28% of Boomers, and 9% of older people.
What’s Hot Right Now
With World Mental Health Day approaching on October 10, Iceland’s flagship airline decided to undertake its own study, based on the results of the American Psychological Association. Recognizing that our surroundings have a significant impact on our stress levels and general mental health, Icelandair conducted research to find the most peaceful locations on the globe.
The airline evaluated different locations across the world based on factors such as happiness levels, traffic congestion, crowding, and light and noise pollution, and came up with a list of the top 20 most relaxing cities in the world.
According to Travel + Leisure, Bergen is a city in Norway., took first position owing to minimal traffic congestion (13%), little light and noise pollution, and a lengthy average life expectancy of 83 years.

Perth, Western Australia’s capital, came in second. Kings Park & Botanic Garden, one of the world’s biggest inner-city parks, as well as vineyards, white-sand beaches, bays where you can swim with dolphins, and islands where you can photograph penguins, sea lions, and quokkas, make it a coastal paradise (possibly the cutest creatures on Earth)
Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik’s capital city and the world’s northernmost, finished in third. It received a high ranking in part due to its beautiful setting and breathtaking natural surroundings. Despite the cold temperature, the region is rich in geothermal hot springs as a result of Reykjavik’s volcanic activity, allowing visitors to enjoy warm natural pools all year.
When looking at the top 20 nations, there are a handful that stick out since they have several cities on the list. There were four peaceful cities in Australia: Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. New Zealand and the United States each contributed three to the list.
