Turks and Caicos is a Caribbean island nation that is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The country’s tourism industry has been booming, but there are still some shortcomings. This new development will offer luxurious accommodations and an easy way for travelers to explore the natural beauty of the region.
The st regis turks and caicos is a new hotel that will be opening in Turks and Caicos. This luxury resort will offer guests access to the world’s largest private beach, an infinity pool, and private villas.
As the island continues its post-pandemic reopening to tourists, the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board (TCTB) has announced the launch of additional resorts. Officials with the TCTB said the destination’s tourism industry has been bolstered by high land-based tourist arrivals this summer, and the location is gearing up for further growth when cruise ship passengers arrive after the epidemic.
South Bank Turks & Caicos, a managed residential resort and marina situated along Long Bay Beach, is set to debut in the spring of 2022, with one- to six-bedroom homes with unique designs emphasizing “livability and an appreciation for waterfront living,” according to authorities.
In the spring of 2022, the Rock House property on Providenciales’ north coast will open with 42 individual villas. A 100-foot infinity pool, a European-style beach blub, bespoke jogging paths, a trademark restaurant, bar, a cave lounge, and a fitness facility will be among the facilities at Rock House, which will have “contemporary” finishes and panoramic vistas.
The Bight Hotel, which will include a 45-foot-high tower with “unparalleled” views of Grace Bay Beach, is also set to begin building in 2022. A garden-to-table restaurant showcasing products from the property’s farm is also planned, as well as an infinity pool, spa, yoga studio, distillery, and rum bar. The Strand Turks & Caicos, a private residential resort development on Providenciales’ southern coast, will debut in 2023.
What’s Hot Right Now
The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos, opened in June and features 147 ocean-view guest rooms, including five three-story penthouse suites, multiple dining options, a dedicated club concierge and beach service, a signature Ritz-Carlton spa, a casino with traditional table games, and a private catamaran for exclusive guest use.
“These much-anticipated debuts [will] appeal to a broad range of visitors, providing not just excellent accommodations but also unique culinary outlets, spas, activities, and new ecotourism advances,” said Pamela Ewing, the Turks and Caicos director of tourism.
“With tourism projected to increase in the future years, these new and forthcoming openings provide a diverse range of notable hotels, restaurants, and experiences for both tourists and residents to relax, discover, and enjoy,” Ewing said.
The Turks and Caicos had “one of the busiest summers on record,” according to Ewing. In June, the destination recorded an increase of 18 tourist visits from pre-pandemic 2019 to 54,188 visitors. The number of visitors to the area in July 2021 was 56,022, up 19 percent from July 2019. In August, the Turks and Caicos Islands had 41,734 tourists, a 15% increase from August 2019.
