The Caribbean Princess has gone sail, making her the ninth ship in Princess Cruises’ fleet to welcome passengers back following the epidemic. On November 28, 2021, the ship sailed from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on a 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise.
Caribbean Princess Reopens for Business
After the pandemic shutdown stopped operations for the Grand-class vessel, the Caribbean Princess formally welcomed its first new passengers in a lavish welcome ceremony.
During embarkation, the ship’s top officers and Princess Cruises President John Padgett met Alexander King and Jennifer Little as they became the first passengers to board the ship on November 28, 2021, embarking on its historic maiden journey back in service.

“The Caribbean Princess is our eighth cruise ship to re-enter service, and our teams are ecstatic to be serving our passengers again,” said Princess Cruises president John Padgett.
St. Kitts, St. Thomas, Cozumel, and Princess Cays, the cruise line’s own island in the Bahamas, are among the ports of call on the Caribbean Princess’s new Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Passengers may also combine two trips into a 14-day Eastern and Western Adventurer vacation.
Caribbean Princess was first released in 2004 and was recently updated in May of this year. Guests will be able to enjoy several renovations, additions, and innovations that were included throughout the makeover for the first time this month when she reopens.

“This ship was our very first vessel to provide the revolutionary Princess MedallionClass Experience, and it boasts renovated venues and freshly envisioned locations like The Reef Outdoor Splash Zone, which provides a fantastic backdrop for the whole family,” Padgett added.
The Caribbean Princess is the second Princess Cruises ship to relaunch this month, after the Enchanted Princess on November 10.
